Gerstle Park is a unique neighborhood with tree-lined streets, friendly neighbors, and plenty to do. A community park sits on land originally owned by the Gerstle family who had a Victorian summer home on the property. Gerstle Park's facilities include group picnic areas, barbeques, basketball and tennis courts, and a multi-age playground.
The San Rafael City Schools District serves elementary, junior high, and high school students living in Gerstle Park. Most children in the area attend Sun Valley Elementary and Davidson Middle School, and then move on to either San Rafael or Terra Linda High School.
