As I sell real estate throughout Marin County, I often come across a buyer that is reluctant to take a look into Novato. Not because of the commute but usually because they have some notion that it isn’t much of a town. Since I live in Novato and specialize in the area, I feel inclined to share with you what makes this once bustling town that became a super sleepy town, but now on the rise… great place to live and raise a family. I also want to share the details of the immense change that has occurred over the years and what the future seems to hold for this great community. With that said, I share with you a brief history of Novato starting with the early development back in 1856 when Joseph Sweetser and Francis DeLong purchased a Mexican land grant

The northern end of Marin, specifically San Marin is the most affordable neighborhood for buyers still eager to live in Marin.  As home values continue to rise, it is still possible to find a lovely home under the 1 million dollar mark.  Take a peek at the home sales from January through the end of July.  Your dollar goes the furthest in San Marin of any other city in Marin...and that may not be for much longer with all the exciting developments in the works which will make Novato the hot spot to live - ideally located between San Francisco, the gorgeous wine country and also the coastal region with sleepy towns like Point Reyes and Marshall close by.  You are literally a 20-60 minute car ride to any of these beautiful places.  How lucky am I to live

I am so pleased to announce that my sellers of this home received multiple offers and closed for $40,000 over their asking price of $865,000.  In partnership with my client, I staged, prepared and marketed this listing to attract the most qualified buyers possible.  I only offer full service to my sellers which includes a long list of items that prove a solid sale for top dollar!  Yes, the sellling market in Marin is currently strong, but it is still neccessary to get maximum reach and make the property shine through top notch preparation and marketing.  By doing so, we attracted a super strong buyer from out of the area. The closing price of $905,000 breaks the record for a 3 bedroom home sale in Hamilton since 2006.

The Novato Farmer's Market is held on Tuesday from 4-7pm and is located downtown on Grant Avenue between 1st and 4th streets. Open from May until the end of September.  Visiting the market not only supports local businesses in Novato but provides a great opportunity to sample locally grown and organic products and produce.  It is a great place to enjoy the afternoon with family...there are jumpy houses and pony rides for the children.  Often times there is also great, live music.  Stay for a while and grab an easy dinner to go from the rotisserie chicken vendor (a favorite) or from a local restaurant!  There is always a plethora of yummy samples from gourmet shops to try - no doubt you will leave with something special.  Flowers, produce and gourmet

In our daily lives it can be so difficult to remember to give back to our communities.  We get so caught up in work, family and hopefully some fun too!  We cannot forget to give back! An easy way to do this is to give time to your community. Coming up this Saturday, April 25th is Novato Clean and Green Day.  This is an event when neighbors come together to help clean up our lovely town.  No, it is not glamourous but it is so needed!  Please come out and join me in removing trash from the streets, creeks, parks, bike paths and more.  It doesn't get done without community involvement.

I am so excited for my buyer who just closed today on the purchase of 10 Rowe Ranch Drive, a beautiful Single Family Residence in the southern Novato neighborhood of Ignacio.  This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home was impeccably maintained by the previous owners and has upgrades galore!  The location is highly desirable being so close to the 101 corridor leading to SF and the Wine Country, also in close proximity to the Indian Valley hiking trails, Paradise Foods and many upscale shops and restaurants. This home closed for $758,000 with multiple offers.   I represented the buyer in partnership with my professional and seasoned associate also from Marin Modern, Michelle McCarthy, who was a pleasure to work with!

I specialize in Novato real estate, both
