Mandeville Canyon Residence modern bathroom modern bathroom design by los angeles architect Griffin Enright Architects

When looking for remodeling ideas, look no further than Houzz. It's the best design web site I have come across in years.  In my years of being in residential real estate, I have spent many of draining hours going through design showrooms, home design catalogues and searching online for the perfect products for my remodeling projects. Now that I have found Houzz, I don't need to leave my desk and I can even order the products online in many cases.

14 ranch novato sold by marin modern real estate

After 4 long months of patiently waiting for my client's short sale offer to be approved by the seller's bank, my clients had the pleasure of moving into this wonderful, turn key, townhome near downtown Novato just this past weekend.  List price for this 3 bedroom/2bath home with 2car garage - approximately 1,800sqft was $415,000. I negotiated a $405,000 sales price on my buyer's behalf along with a substantial credit towards their closing costs.

The Novato condo / townhome market is hot hot hot right now.  If you want to learn more about the Novato condo market, email me or call me. I am happy to share my knowledge with you and assist you in your next home purchase.

Is this a seller's market in Marin?

Monday, February 27th, 2012 at 8:06pm. 160 Views, 0 Comments.

Well by statistical data, the months of inventory of housing in Marin would indicate that it is a STRONG seller's market in Marin.  The number of months it would take for Realtors to sell all of the inventory currently available for sale in Marin is 1.8 months.  4.5 months would be considered a balanced market.  Above 4.5 months, the market signs indicate the negotiation power is in the buyer's favor.

With inventory being at an all time low for the last decade, interest rates at historic lows, consumer spending up, global economies trying to correct themselves, technology companies booming, jobless rate decreasing and home sales increasing, buyers are determining this is the time to get into the real estate market.  The bottom of the market has…

cimg2147_640

What a great way to begin the new year!  I am pleased to announce my client's successful purchase of this lovely 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with bonus room on the Madera Garden's Lagoon.  The final sales price was $1,299,000 and sold on December 30th, 2011.

The lagoon location is one of the most desirable locations in West Corte Madera.  Although the lagoon is not attached to the bay, bay water flows in and out of the two landlocked lagoons in Corte Madera.  Every year, residents have a 4th of July party on the water.  You can swim right off your own dock, fish, kayak and canoe too!  I look forward to be included in my client's fun summer parties on the lagoon.

Lastly, did you know that Madera Gardens is so centrailly located that kids can…

34 Park Terrace, Mill Valley - Just Sold!

34parkterrace_lr4_650

I am pleased to announce the successful sale of 34 Park Terrace, Mill Valley.  This was a short sale with a happy ending for both parties.

This 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath 3 story townhome with a loft sold today for $500,000.  What an amazing value. This home would have sold for almost 10% more if the home were presented as a regular sale.

The community of Park Terrace is compromised of 65 townhome units and is located in the heart of Sycamore Park - one of Mill Valley's most coveted neighborhoods.  These units are hard to come by, as they don't resale very often. The home owner's association is well run and the dues are low $260/month.  Also the location is king!  Park Terrace is so centrally located to schools, shops, restaurants, the Mill Valley…

Marin Rental Market

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 at 12:37pm. 500 Views, 0 Comments.

Whether you are moving to Marin for a job transfer or you want to experience life in Marin, there are a number of rental options you should know about.

Marin short term rentals are a great option.  Some of the best resources for short term leases in Marin come fully furnished.  Here are a few of my favorite companies and sites:

International Quarters

Marin Suites

Vacation Rental By Owner

For long term options, your best bet is to visit, and frequent, Craigslist.  Most of Marin's top property management companies, local Realtors and landlords post their rental listings on Craigslist. It's the most widely used site for rentals.

The Marin rental market is HOT right now.  You will be paying a premium even when agreeing to a long term lease.…
