We wanted to let parents know that San Rafael's Dixie School District will be hosting an open house on Thursday, November 13, 2008. This special event will enable parents contemplating enrollment during the 2009 and 2010 school year to learn more about Dixie Schools, including Dixie Elementary School, Mary E. Silveira Elementary School, Vallecito Elementary School, and Miller Creek Middle School.

We are less than one week away from our seminar entitled "Building a Modernist and Eco-Friendly Prefab Home in Marin County" featuring keynote speakers from Michelle Kaufmann Designs, JCF Advisors, and Marin Modern Real Estate.

We've received a number of requests from clients for more detailed information on homes available for sale in Marin County by zip code. Our clients spoke and we listened, and i'm pleased to say that we now offer our visitors a convenient way to explore current listings in Marin by postal zip code.
In addition to offering general information on homes for sale by zip code across Marin County, we augmented this feature to include:
Listings in each of Marin's 41 zip codes by price range,
The total number of listings as well as the number of listings under contract. This is a great way to determine if a particular area is a buyers market or sellers market, and to what degree.

We often get asked by clients and friends for preschool recommendations in Marin County which we are happy to offer. Truth be told though, selecting the right Marin preschool can be a very personal decision and often requires parents to personally visit schools of interest to select the one that is right for them.

I was excited to participate in a recent interview with ENGINE Magazine, a high-end Japanese publication (published monthly in Japan) which caters primarily to a men's audience interested in fashion, style, automobiles, and more. As a point of reference, the magazine is reminiscent of GQ or Esquire magazine in the United States.

Families and visitors to Marin County just got another reason to visit the The Marin Civic Center in San Rafael which was designed by noted architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Built in 1957, the Marin Civic Center has always been a popular destination for architectural enthusiasts interested in seeing Frank Lloyd Wright's 770th commission, which would be his last.
