Eichler Home Sales in Marin (200... by Renee Adelmann

As the year winds to a close, I wanted to provide everyone with a quick synopsis of how the real estate market in Marin County California held up for buyers and sellers of Eichler homes in 2008.

I specifically wanted to break out Eichler home sales history information since many of my clients (both buyers and sellers) have a profound interest in these mid-century modern properties in Marin County.     While Eichler homes can be found in several Marin towns including Mill Valley, San Anselmo, and San Rafael, all Eichler transactions for 2008 ocurred in the town of San Rafael.

San Rafael Eichler Sales for 2008

In 2008, a total of 41 Eichler homes were sold in Marin County.   As mentioned, all 41 of these Eichlers were located in...

While the total number of listings in the Marin County MLS and San Francisco MLS have dipped recently due to the holidays, there is still some great inventory available.

For anyone looking for a modern or mid-century modern home in the Bay Area, there are some fabulous properties out there right now.    After...

Shopping Malls in Marin County by Renee Adelmann

With the holiday season upon us, we have many clients and friends (especially those that  recently relocated to Marin County) that are interested in finding out where the major shopping malls are located in Marin County, California.

Truth be told, some of the best shopping in Marin can be found at boutique retail stores located in downtown Mill Valley, Larkspur, Fairfax, San Anselmo, and San Rafael, however there are a handful of large shopping centers in Marin which are worth a visit:

The Village at Corte Madera

Located in Corte Madera on the east side of Highway 101, the Village at Corte Madera is an upscale outdoor mall.    The anchor stores at The Village at Corte Madera include Nordstroms and Macys however there are many other...

Marin Green Building Event by Renee Adelmann

We wanted to thank everyone who attended and participated in our event last night entitled "Building an Eco-Friendly and Modern Home in Marin County" which featured keynote speakers from some of the most respected and authoritative names in the green building, design, real estate, and finance industry.

We were overwhelmed with consumer response to this event which included speakers from Oakland-based Michelle Kaufmann Designs and Marin County based Marin Modern Real Estate and JCF Advisors.

The total number of registrants for this Marin Modern Real Estate sponsored event exceeded our available seating space by almost double.  While we were unable to accommodate all parties interested in attending the event due to space...
