Public Storage Options in Marin County

Perhaps you are preparing to move to another home locally or across the country. Maybe you are about to embark on a major remodel of your home and need to move much of your belongings out for a fixed period of time. Another scenario finds you getting ready to sell your home. You've selected a realtor, met with the stager and you need to make way for some important staging and accessorizing of your main living areas. Your garage is already packed to the gills so what exactly are your options?
The public storage options in Marin County are varied, flexible and quite affordable. They are designed to meet every conceivable need whether you've already identified it or are still trying to sort it all out. The important considerations are long or short term, portable and whether you require storage that is climate-controlled. Whether you are looking to store personal or business items or even a vehicle, Marin County public storage options will meet your needs.
Wherever your storage solution inquiry begins, you'll be pleased to learn that virtually every option involves a month-to-month rental agreement with no long term commitment. It is largely based on the size of storage unit required and the length of the rental term. The rule of thumb is the longer the rental commitment, the less expensive the monthly rate. In a quick survey I did to write this blog, I learned that competition is stiff. Many public storage locations are offering the first month's rent free for a year-long commitment. A few facilities even offer delivery and pick-up to/from the unit for a longer term rental commitment. Almost all faciltiies offer moving and packing supplies, for competitive rates.
An increasingly popular storage solution is the portable one, known as PODS. These are air-tight, secure containers of varying sizes delivered to your driveway or property so that you can load and pack at your own pace. They remain in place for however long your temporary, barely off-site storage is needed and PODS returns to remove the unit when you are done. Maybe you've seen them in your neighborhood. They are not unattractive and the highly competitive pricing makes this a really simple solution to a temporary need for storage on demand.
Every community in Marin has at least one public storage facility and most have several options. San Rafael and Novato in particular offer many different facilities including classic car storage, boat storage and extremely large units - some bigger than the average Marin County home! While this list is not complete, click on these links to see a few of your public storage options by community: Sausalito, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, Kentfield, San Anselmo, Fairfax, San Rafael, Novato.
