I went to a seminar and found that this is something we all should know about...

As of January 1, 2009, the federal tax credit on solar has been raised to 30 percent of the system—so with the discount being extend for Marin residents by local solar service providers, the federal credit and state/utility rebate factored in, the net cost of a solar system from SolarCity in Marin County is approximately half the retail price.
