Which would you choose - Marin, CA or San Francisco, CA?
Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at 10:02pm. 256 Views, 0 Comments.
I recently answered a forum question about moving to San Francisco, CA vs. Marin, CA and what would be best for this family. What I know is the dad is in sales, based out of Petaluma with a territory that heads south toward San Francisco. What I garnered from his posted question was they wanted the urban life of San Francisco, "think tattoos, Buffalo exchange and single pour coffeehouses" his words, "with the ease of family friendly walkable neighborhoods and excellent public schools".
Does this place exist in San Francisco or Marin? If it does, I want to be the mayor. When I think tattoos and single pour coffeehouses, my mind goes straight to Sacramento. Not an option for them.

Cheap Gas in Marinwood, San Rafael 94903
Saturday, December 31st, 2011 at 8:27am. 171 Views, 0 Comments.
Another reason I like Marinwood-cheap gas at the new 76 station on Marinwood Ave. @ Miller Creek Rd. The gas station is conveniently located right off the 101 Highway (Marinwood/St. Vincent exit) in the 94903 area of San Rafael; regular is $3.35 per gallon. There is also a great smog check and certification at the station (I go there every time I need to renew smog). It is easy, cheap, local...a winner!
Hey and if that's not enough to entice you, across the street from the 76 gas station is the new Marinwood Market. This is a fabulous new market with excellent produce, meat and fish counter, deli and sushi bar...plus they sell the most amazing chocolate chip cookies-yum! The staff is helpful and friendly and eager to stalk just what you need.

The Appetite Seminar - A 35th Annual Thanksgiving Day Bike Ride OR a walk to Tennessee Beach
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011 at 7:55pm. 261 Views, 0 Comments.
Looking for something physical to do before you sit down to enjoy all of that Thanksgiving bounty? I saw recently in the local paper that there’s an organised mountain bike ride from Fairfax on Thanksgiving morning. They call it “The Appetite Seminar.” (Click to follow link.) It sounds like a great idea, to do the exercise before all that overeating and drinking. However, despite the good intentions, my bike and I will probably not be there. If, like me, you’d like to start with something simpler or less intimidating, then consider a Thanksgiving Day Family Hike. Did you know that you can walk to the Pacific Ocean from Mill Valley in only 1.7 miles? Just follow the trail through Tennessee Valley to the Tennessee Beach. It’s an easy drive…

Pelican Inn, Muir Beach CA - Romantic Inn at The Beach What Is The Most Romantic Restaurant in Marin County?
Is there really one single solitary answer to this question? Romance for me might not mean the same thing for you or even my best friend but hopefully it's the same for my boyfriend or your significant other. Atmosphere, food, timing can all be part of a romantic experience but the individual and collective components are specific and unique to each person.
Romance and food together create a world of it's own with the magical combination of all the parts. When dining out the service and ambiance at a restaurant plays a huge part. Have you had that waitperson that stays a little too long,…
