Ding Dong! Hello, my name is Elder.....   Ding Dong!   Hello, my name is Elder.....  "The Book of Mormon" opened to a packed house at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco last night. A beautiful old theater, the Orpheum is a designated historical landmark in San Francisco. The backdrop for the theater is the Civic Center which is backlit and glowing with red and green lights for the holidays.  Very festive.

If you like South Park humor and San Francisco edginess this play will keep you laughing and clapping.  From the set design to choreography to music and acting, it was a superb performance and a fantastic evening. A couple tips if you go:  1. Don't bring children.  For adults only.  2. Rather than waiting in line at intermission to get

Yes, truly the Stairway to Heaven - 103 Stairs from the street to heaven.  I had the pleasure of representing the seller on a home that he loved and enjoyed for 35 years.  He priced his home for the market and had two offers the first week.  One of the selling features of his home is that you never have to go or pay for a gym membership!

Stairway to Heaven

The home has panoramic views, privacy, beautiful Southern exposure with light streaming in from all the windows and the French doors that open onto a large deck.  It has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, with
sunroom addition and has been tastefully updated over the years yet maintaining its rustic character.  From the bottom of the stairs it's only 2 blocks to downtown

What started as an interview with Lou Thoelecke about the "Traffic Circle" in front of his house on Santa Margarita in San Rafael turned into a fascinating conversation with a West End neighbor who is a passionate environmentalist, accomplished winemaker, a Bronze Life Master at Bridge, a musician, trained chef, former competitive tennis player, real estate investor and one-time neighbor to Jerry Garcia.  Between sipping Six Corners Zinfandel, I took notes for the Neighborhood Spotlight column in the West End Neighborhood Newsletter.

Where to begin....  Lou attended school in San Anselmo, graduated from San Francisco State and drove taxi for DeSoto Cab in San Francisco before going to work in the office at DeSoto. Somewhere along the journey Lou

It was a pleasure to assist my client, the buyer for 1 Salem Cove, to find a home that offers a carefree lifestyle on one level and is convenient to all the things he likes to do.  Located in Spinnaker Point, a community of townhomes in Central San Rafael, 1 Salem Cove has been beautifully remodeled and meticulously maintained.  It features 3 bedrooms, two full baths, attached 2-car garage and a corner lot with a fenced yard and deck surrounded by the Bay walking trail.  After living in Fairfax for over 35 years in a home I call the Stairway to Heaven because of the views (103 stairs from the street to the front door) my client feels like he has found heaven at Spinnaker Point. No more stairs and his dog Dexter has a walking trail to boot.  1 Salem

Sometimes things are meant to be and sometimes you have to make them happen!  I represented the sellers on 129 Greenfield who became buyers for 16 Mariners Circle.  Long-time (41 years) West End Neighborhood neighbors and a former San Rafael City Council member, my clients/friends had started thinking about selling 3 years ago.  Thoughtful planners, they didn't want to make a misstep at this stage in their life. They called me several months ago, both husband and wife were on the same was time to sell and leave the stairs and the upkeep of a big home to someone younger.  The important part of the equation for them was to be able to take advantage of Proposition 60, whereby they could keep their Prop. 13 property tax base if they purchased a

The best of all worlds. Walk to downtown Fairfax or enjoy the privacy and panoramic views from your deck above town. Enchanting southern exposure, with a huge deck that opens through French doors off the living room to the deck.

This home has been tastefully updated over the years, carefully maintaining the rustic charm of the outdoors and Fairfax.  It has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths with an octagonal sunroom/breakfast room addition off the kitchen that has a vaulted ceiling and windows on all sides and above.  It provides a cozy sitting area as well as a place to dine.  There is a wall of windows in the living room bathing the house in sunlight.  A bedroom and updated bathroom can be found on the main level and a remodeled bedroom, half-bath and

Just Sold! I represented the Seller of this very desirable 3 bedroom/2 bathroom Mill Valley home with views of Richardson Bay and an exceptional commute. 285 Morning Sun has that wonderful rustic Mill Valley charm with modern touches and updating to enhance the natural light and views.

My clients lived in this home for 23 years while commuting to San Francisco for work.  When they retired and no longer cared about being close to the City, they purchased a new home in a bucolic setting in Petaluma.  Once they moved, we jumped into action to get their Mill Valley home ready to go on the market

As part of my services, I brought in my team of professionals to paint the interior, power wash and stain the exterior, install new carpet, make minor
