Today I attended a celebration to honor the life of David Faw, who passed away on May 24th.  David is well-known to realtors who sell property in San Rafael because he's been the go-to guy for resale inspections for many years.  Being the "resale inspector" was a very small slice of who David was and why he was so well liked.  He was a people person who liked to jaw bone with realtors, see homes and keep his finger on the pulse of the market.  He liked real estate.

Not one to retire, he contracted with the City of San Rafael for many years to do resale inspections.  At one time the City decided to tighten their belt and have a City employee take over the inspections. They quickly discovered contracting with David was much more cost-effective and

FHA loans offer superb purchase financing for borrowers with limited down payment funds, higher debt-to-income ratios, or compromised credit ratings. They also provide some of the lowest rates available on 30-year fixed money. In several ‘high cost’ Bay Area counties, the FHA’s minimal 3.5% down payment requirement supports excellent financing on loans up to $729,750. But how does one go about finding the best FHA lender to work with? 35 Bryn Mawr Drive, San Rafael CA 94901 - JUST SOLD!

Do you use Facebook for business? Still can't figure out why you would? I have proof that if you plant the seeds, connect with friends from the past and present and then make an effort to engage - good things will come of it!

Maybe you reconnect with a few friends from your high schools days or plan your 30-year high school reunion using Facebook or maybe one of those classmates sends you an IM asking you to help him list and sell his family home?

BINGO! I did all of these things. Now, I have always been that person that likes to keep in touch with everyone so for me Facebook is a great facilitator and extension of what is the norm so getting a client out of it was a bonus!

Just Sold:  105 Picnic Ave., 2 bed/1.5 bath Vintage Charmer for $580,000

I felt honored to represent the executor/nephew on the sale of this beautifully maintained Vintage Charmer. It was owned by a friend whose father had built the home in 1921. She grew up in this house and then married and lived there with her husband. Between the home and the garden, it had been loved and cared for over the years, always keeping the vintage charm. Picnic Valley in San Rafael has a long history with deep roots.

Buyers and agents alike were smitten with the big front porch, glass doorknobs, high ceilings, wainscoting, sunroom and big picture windows and best of all...a garden to die for. Updated in the best sense of the word, the home maintained its
