Whew...I am pleased to report another successful transaction and happy buyer for 1201 Yukon Way in Novato which just closed escrow. The purchase price was $405,444. The home was a popular one with many agents and prospective buyers since it had been on the market for many months, but unable to be seen due to an eviction that needed to take place. We kept an eye on it and close communication with the listing agent so that the moment it was available to see, we toured the home and presented an offer.
Six days and multiple rounds of counter offers later, we won the fierce battle for this property. Then we had 5 days for inspections and 10 days to close! Wild!!!
1201 Yukon Way is in a convenient Novato location across the freeway from the popular Vintage Oaks Shopping Center and close to many restaurants, medical facilities and not far from downtown Novato. My client grew up in nearby San Rafael neighborhoods and has lived in Marin all her life. After viewing many homes in the price range, my client knew this was the one from the moment she saw it.
The home is over 1,600 square feet with some vaulted ceilings, and other nice architectural details. It was completely remodeled in the 1990's. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as a large kitchen, dining room, living room and den, there is plenty of room to entertain! The property backs to designated open space and the lot is two parcels combined to be nearly 10,000 sq. ft.
The two-car attached garage plus bonus room off the garage and full-sized laundry room upon entry from the garage to the home are additional features that my client appreciates. If you are looking to buy a home in Marin, I would be happy to consult with you regarding your real estate needs. I work with clients at many different price points and neighborhood or architectural preferences. If you want great communication and real estate savvy on your side, call or email me.
